Hitting The Un-Hittable Curveball
Only a very few hitters manage to hit the great curveball. But, do not try to hit the un-hittable curveball. This is because it is not possible to hit it! Nobody has ever done it and nobody can do it ever! So, you need not worry.
If you want to become the best hitter, make yourself prepared and practice hard so that you are able to hit the hittable curveball consistently.
You just need to do your homework and practice your techniques regularly.
Bear in mind that if anytime you find yourself out front, off balance, and not recognizing the pitch, you will definitely have problems with the breaking ball.
The fact is that it is not quite possible to have success with this pitch or any other pitch for that matter without a solid foundation.
There are two key points that should be kept in mind if you want to become the best hitter. These are as follows:
If you push forward, or are slightly out front, it is important to ensure that your front knee does not go over your front foot. Moreover, being in this position, you are too far forward to hit the breaking ball. In other words, if you are lunged forward, you will be in a poor position to hit that pitch.
Also, do not consistently swing at breaking balls out of the strike zone. Many hitters tend to swing at pitches out of the strike zone merely because they have committed their weight transfer quite early.
Bear in mind that the goal of the pitcher, when he throws off-speed pitches to begin with, is to disrupt your balance.
