All Baseball Training Videos Were Not Created Equal

To sell products many companies get a famous baseball player to endorse or appear on their videos. Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can be misleading. Most professional baseball players were born to play baseball. Their skills and abilities are, and always were, better than almost everyone they played against growing up.

Now, this does not mean they don't work hard or deserve any success they have. It simply means they may not be able to explain. As former MLB All-Star Wally Joyner said, "I have no idea how I hit. I just know that I can hit."

So just because your favorite MLB player appears on a baseball training video, don't assume it will offer the magical solution. Most pro players put out baseball videos that focus on the simple basics. Not bad, but pro not what your looking for.

The key is to find the coaches and trainers who have released baseball training videos that reveal their secrets that helped improve the average or less than average baseball player. That is where most players fall. These are the videos that can help you get on the travel team you want or get the scholarship you desire.

Jon Doyle's baseball training videos have gotten the most recognition and are recommended by most for hitting and strength and conditioning and Ron Wolforth of theathleticpitcher.com for pitching.

These guys have helped many MLB players, but have also developed systems that you can emulate for your youth, high school and college baseball players.

Another rule of thumb is the fancier the packaging the worse the contents on the baseball training video. You are purchasing information, not fancy graphics and design work. Most top notch baseball videos are actually made on a very low budget because the quality of information is so good these videos do not need to be made "pretty."
