The Explosive First Step

A shot of a life time for most successful basketball players are founded on the explosive first step. To name a few of the most exciting NBA players like Michael Jordan, Dr. J, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Carmelo Anthony have undeniably done the explosive first step. They are the ones enjoying the luxury of a high scoring player mainly because they believe in first moves as the most necessary move in scoring.

Take a deep breath and imagine that you are about to score during a basketball game but suddenly you have been blocked by your opponent. Then at the end of the game you wonder where did you go wrong? why was I blocked? was my move been tracked down by my opponents? Well the answer is definitely the weakness in your first move or you have not develop an explosive first step. To develop this explosive first step requires more practice and determination.

Let me give you some important tips or exercises to develop the explosive first step that superstars have and to elaborate more on the trainings that you must do.

There are three steps that will develop these explosive first step move, they are as follows:

- First is flexibility training: Stretching your legs before and after games is primarily an important part of having an explosive first step.

- Second is the power of leg training: Lifting weights and lot of squats on your legs and calfs so as to develop the muscles in your legs.

- And the last is the jumping ropes training: 100 times or more.

The last one but not the least one is the jumping rope training which is the one that is most necessary because it gives your legs spatial mobility or good coordination of your balance during running and jumping.
