In my travels and experiences in college basketball I am asked a variety of questions by curious fans and coaches. The overwhelming favorite and most popular question by coaches continues to be, "how do I get my foot in the door? I'd do anything to become a college hoop coach." Finally I decided to do something about it. The result is the development of a new program, "The Path to College Coaching." My qualifications behind the creation of this program are strong. After Bernie Bickerstaff coached his final game for the Charlotte Bobcats, he was honored by the Bobcats and part owner Michael Jordan thanked him through a video tape. Tracy McGrady is well aware that this will be his best chance of winning a postseason series. This is McGrady"s sixth postseason and he is also knows that the Houston Rockets have the best record of any team that he has played in the last 10 season. For the first time in his career, McGrady"s team will have the advantage of playing on home court. McGrady said that he has the feeling that something good will happen during the playoffs. After playing for 10 seasons, he is just happy getting to the playoffs. Rockets supporters are expecting a lot from McGrady and the team. According to former Rocket player and TNT analyst Charles Barkley, if the Rockets do not get beyond the first round in the playoffs, McGrady will have to face the aftermath.
Riley Rests O Neal And Wade In Season Finale
The Miami Heat played their last game of the regular season against Orlando but Shaquille O"Neal and Dwyane Wade were on the inactive list. Heat coach Pat Riley took the decision not to play O"Neal and Wade because he did not want two of his star players to get hurt before the playoffs. In 1983, when Riley was coaching the Los Angeles Lakers, forward James Worthy broke his leg in the final week of the regular season and Riley still thinks that it was one of the reasons why the Lakers were unable to defend their NBA title. This time round Riley was not going to take any chances getting his two most important players injured when the Heat have to defend their NBA championship.
Detroit Pistons Flip Murray Shot At
Flip Murray, Detroit Pistons guard, informed the police that gunshots were fired into his house after two masked men approached a female friend who was returning with him from a night club. Police informed that no one was injured in the shooting. The police cannot ascertain the intent of the masked men and no suspects have been apprehended. Murray said that he arrived from the club in his own car and left the door open for his 25 year old female friend, who came driving in her own car. The woman informed the police that a masked man approached her from the rear and asked her to keep quiet. That was the point when she screamed and ran into the house. Lt Gerry Scherlinck said that Murray was not aware of being followed.
Spurs Tim Duncan Hopes To Be Treated Fairly After Referee s Suspension
Spurs star Tim Duncan hopes that he and his team are treated fairly by the NBA officials after the suspension of NBA referee Joey Crawford. Crawford has worked more postseason games than any other active referee and he was suspended indefinitely by NBA commissioner David Stern for his conduct towards Duncan during a recent game. Crawford"s suspension is bound to last at least till the NBA finals get over. Duncan said that he did nothing to get the reaction that he received from Crawford and so he believes that he had nothing to do with it. He hopes that NBA officials will take that into account and the Spurs get treated fairly. Crawford ejected Duncan from the game that the Spurs were playing against Dallas after giving him a second technical foul while Duncan sat on the bench laughing.
