Before Lebron was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the city of Cleveland was at a lost of words. They have little to no success in any of their three major sports, basketball, football and baseball. The times have been so bad, that like the Boston Red Sox, they have been given the cursed name. They are cursed because they cannot seem to win anything. Fan following has not been strong as a result because everyone loves winning. However, this was about to change. The Cavs team before the 2003 NBA draft was horrible; they had only won a meager 17 games out of a possible 82. As a result, they were awarded with the number one overall pick in the draft.

Manu Ginobili, guard of the Spurs, is not a celebrated player. People view him as a role player who contributes but is not star quality. This is in fact true, but only to a small degree. Everyone knows that he is successful; he is a winner of an Olympic gold medal with Argentina and has won two NBA titles with the Spurs. He is an excellent three point shooter and is clutch when the game is on the line. However, this is not why Greg Popovich, head coach of the Spurs likes him so much. He is not flashy but he gets the job done in whatever way it needs to be done. Manu is also known for his style of play, he is unorthodox and plays every play down. Then why is he so good?
