Surreal - I Dream of Kimmie
As with any competition Kimmie is involved in, I usually don't pocket watch until after I've discover about the results; or I can fast forward my "Tivo" to the scores to examine her standings. Then I decide how to stopwatch that particular event. On the other hand this competition was unusual, I had no choice however to at the end the anticipation of growth in the crowd; part of it. However, it was still extremely nerve wrecking to watch. Kimmie was the last to skate. Once she had performed, she sat patiently awaiting her scores. However, her body words spelled anticipation; meanwhile, the commentators, while the viewers and the audience were on an edge, felt compelled to memo on Kimmie's foregone performances, from the good ones to her recent "disasters.
Review of the Original Dance from the 2005 World Figure Skating Championships
The judges ranking and their score for the OD are in parentheses. 1) Belbin/Agosto (2, 67.54) It is quite ironic that after spending all season complaining bout how much I dislike this program that I am ranking it first at worlds. But I feel they were the clear winners of the OD. They attacked this program and nailed everything. I got a good laugh at the British Eurosport's commentators trying to find something about this performance to criticize and coming up with 'Their arms weren't always in perfect unison, ' because if that is the biggest problem with any program, it was obviously skated fabulously. The Charleston and quickstep were arguably the best of the night, and their foxtrot was almost up to the level it was four seasons ago.

Figure Skating Judges and Arbitrary Decisions
Many sports, which judge for creativity, personality, feel and spontaneity, are difficult to determine who is the best in competition. And yet the American People love figure skating and often immortalize the top performers. But how can anyone be sure that the best skaters actually win? Sure they have mandatory maneuvers to do and judges do know the complexity and difficulty of various other tricks and yet so much else is arbitrary. Often as I watch these performances I totally disagree with the judges and feel that somehow the winners are rigged. In the last 10 years we have seen scandals with judges in major world competitions and so one has to wonder if like the Tour de France that maybe finger skating has lost its legitimacy due to these judging crimes?
