         <title>Surreal - I Dream of Kimmie</title>
         <link>http://article-sport.info/figure-skating/news_2008-03-27-09-48-02-604.html</link>
<description> As with any competition Kimmie is involved in, I usually don&#039;t pocket watch until after I&#039;ve discover about the results; or I can fast forward my &quot;Tivo&quot; to the scores to examine her standings. Then I decide how to stopwatch that particular event. On the other hand this competition was unusual, I had no choice however to at the end the anticipation of growth in the crowd; part of it. However, it was still extremely nerve wrecking to watch. Kimmie was the last to skate. Once she had performed, she sat patiently awaiting her scores.

<title>Review of the Original Dance from the 2005 World Figure Skating Championships</title>

<description> The judges ranking and their score for the OD are in parentheses. 1) Belbin/Agosto (2, 67.54) It is quite ironic that after spending all season complaining bout how much I dislike this program that I am ranking it first at worlds. But I feel they were the clear winners of the OD. They attacked this program and nailed everything. I got a good laugh at the British Eurosport&#039;s commentators trying to find something about this performance to criticize and coming up with &#039;Their arms weren&#039;t always in perfect unison, &#039; because if that is the biggest problem with any program, it was obviously skated fabulously.

<title>How to Clean Inline Skate Bearings</title>
         <link>http://article-sport.info/figure-skating/news_2007-06-03-22-50-06-506.html</link>
<description> Clean bearings roll smoother, are faster and will last longer than dirty bearings. Grit and sand can cause small pits in the balls and create an uneven rotation. Below are instructions on how to clean a bearing with a removable shield. If the shield on your bearings are stationary, ignore the steps which are directed to removing shields. If you clean and lubricate your bearing often they should last you a long time. Always avoid getting your bearings wet, and keep them free of sand! Clean and lubricate skate bearings immediately if they become wet.

<title>Skates - Tips on Selecting the Correct Skates</title>
         <link>http://article-sport.info/figure-skating/news_2007-06-03-04-30-02-490.html</link>
<description> Skates can be used in many different ways. Some of the most common activities with skates are figure skating, ramp, hockey, stair riding, up and down hills, speed skating, commuting and so on. Before selecting a pair skates decide whether it is to be used for speed, hockey or multi-purpose. The skating sports boom occurred in the 1880s and from that time onwards roller skates were mass produced to meet the demand. Richmond, Indiana based Micajah C Henley was producing more than a thousand pairs of skates every week and selling all of them.

<title>Figure Skating Judges and Arbitrary Decisions</title>
         <link>http://article-sport.info/figure-skating/news_2007-06-03-02-10-02-513.html</link>
<description> Many sports, which judge for creativity, personality, feel and spontaneity, are difficult to determine who is the best in competition. And yet the American People love figure skating and often immortalize the top performers. But how can anyone be sure that the best skaters actually win? Sure they have mandatory maneuvers to do and judges do know the complexity and difficulty of various other tricks and yet so much else is arbitrary. Often as I watch these performances I totally disagree with the judges and feel that somehow the winners are rigged.

<title>Do You Want To Learn How To Skate</title>
         <link>http://article-sport.info/figure-skating/news_2007-06-02-02-55-02-294.html</link>
<description> Roller skates are outdated. It is very rare that those skates with two wheels in the front and two wheels in the back are used. Roller blades, on row of four wheels, seem to have completely replaced the old version of skates. They require a bit more balance and make it easier to change direction for turns or avoiding obstacles. The design is very similar to the blades on ice skates. So does that mean you can ice skate if you know how to roller blade, or vice versa? Is it possible to learn to ice skate and rollerblade?

         <title>Figure Skating - Facts About Inline Skating</title>
         <link>http://article-sport.info/figure-skating/news_2007-06-01-00-10-05-397.html</link>
<description> The inline skates that are made specifically for the figure skaters are having a different design. It has a stream-lined frame that boasts more control and less weight than regular inline skates. Also, its front stopper is similar to a toe pick. The boot is designed in such a way that it can bend and support at the same time. This allows the skater to make jumps and spins. However, without these special skates, serious figure skaters should never cross train with inline skating. Roller blading should be done only when ice time is limited or unavailable.
