Repairing Holy Waders
There are few things on this planet that are worse than holy waders. I'm not referring to getting a rip in your waders that can be easily patched. What I'm referring to is waders that have bunches of little tiny holes in them from not being stored properly. That's the cause of this kind of thing happening, you know? If you don't store your waders properly (especially in the case of breathable waders), they will develop small, pinhole leaks that will ruin them.
Have you ever been standing in the water up to your crotch, when you feel something on your leg? You try to ignore it, thinking that if you ignore it, it might go away. Then, when you get done fishing for the day you remove your waders, only to find out that your socks are soaked! Small holes, like the one's I'm describing are all but impossible to fix. If this happens to you, you're probably going to want to look into buying a new pair of waders, and storing them in the proper fashion. What's the proper fashion? Simple. Hanging Upside Down. And in the case of breathable waders, inside out & upside down. Store your waders in these ways, and you won't have the problem of pinhole leaks.
For larger holes, like punctures and/or tears, the repair kit that comes with your waders can be used. Just follow the instructions that come with the repair kit, and you'll be good to go. Another great product for repairing holy waders is called Aquaseal. Aquaseal is simply squeezed out of the tube and spread over the area of the hole and left alone to dry. After twenty-four hours of drying time, the hole is fixed. Aquaseal is a great product for repairing holy waders. The bottom line is to store your waders properly, so that holy waders don't occur. When rips and tears occur, use the repair kit that your waders came with or buy yourself a tube of Aquaseal.
