National Football League: Say No to Thugs! Part Two
When a mom and dad notice their kids are turning into porky little chowbuckets, they often try to substitute healthier foods for all the Twinkies, cookies and potato chips the kids are tossing down their throats. Similarly, let"s see where National Football League players get in trouble and recommend alternative, wholesome activities and entertainment for them. 1) Strip clubs. NFL players seem inexorably drawn to these establishments. The attraction is, of course, the varied and exotic creatures you see on display there. And in some strip clubs, they let you observe these creatures up close and personal. In others, you are asked to keep your distance, for safety reasons-yours and hers.
Dissecting the Coaches of the AFC East
The AFC East is made up of the Patriots, the Jet, the Dolphins and the Bills. A division with a team that is regularly good, and three that hover around mediocrity, only to jump occasionally to greatness, or simply get hot at the end of the season, it is one of those divisions where anything can happen. It is also one of those divisions with some of the most interesting coaches in the NFL. Below, we go inside the leaders of each team; in other words, we go deep. Bill Belichick, The New England Patriots Belichick will go down as one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL. With his no nonsense demeanor and an ability to find the weakness in the most solid opponents, Belichick is well respected by those he coaches, and well feared by those he plays.
The Jet-Fly-Speed Sweep in Youth Football
The speed sweep football plays go by many names; jet sweep, fly sweep and speed sweep and can be effective for certain youth football teams. The speed sweep involves a wing, slot or flanker running at full speed motion, taking a handoff from the quarterback and sweeping the opposite end from where he came in motion from. The play is extremely effective at getting that speedy running back to the edge quickly. There is even an entire offense built around this concept, called the "Fly Offense" that is run by a handful of High Schools. Many High School and even College Football teams incorporate the jet sweep into their regular offensive sets and series. Today many Wing T, Double Wing, I Formation, Ace Set and even a few Single Wing teams have Jet Series plays or add Jet Motion to some of their football playbooks.
The Trap Play - The Giant Killer of Youth Football Plays
The mistake many of us coaches make is we stop asking questions or doing research once we get a so called answer to a question. Most of us take the easy way out, especially if it validates our preconceived notions. I"m here to tell you there are hundreds if not thousands of very successful youth football teams all across America pulling and trapping all the way down to age 6. I personally coached an age 6-8 team and we pulled and trapped very well. Not as well as Ross LeGrande, Ross is from Ohio and his age 7-8 team was the best looking trapping team I had ever seen. His team was the master of running the off-tackle and blocking back trap. In many of the games I saw of his Championship teams, they ran just 3 plays, the off-tackle, trap and counter and by golly the trap made up about 40% of their snaps.

The Reverse - Not a Miracle Football Play For Most Youth Football Teams
Miracle Football Plays- The Reverse is No Magic Bullet Most of us think of reverse plays as ones where the flow moves to the outside in one direction then a handoff occurs to a wing, slot or end going in the opposite direction of the initial flow. These long developing reverse or end-around plays work well against poorly disciplined youth football teams. At the very youngest of ages like 6-7 where most of the teams and players are undisciplined, they often work against everyone. But the rule of thumb is the better coached the team you are playing is, the less likely the reverse will work. If your opponent has blazing speed and your team is slow, there is little chance that the reverse will be anything but a negative yardage play, as the defense has the speed to overcome an initial misstep.

For the past thirty-five years, Cowboys football has called Texas Stadium in the friendly city of Irving, Texas home. The community of Irving, located in the northeast corner of the State of Texas, got its start in 1889 as Gorbit, and was founded in 1903 by J.
Using Words And Psychology To Your Advantage In Youth Football
Comments like "they are huge look how big #99 is, look how fast #23 is, man #12 can throw it a mile", serve no useful purpose, unless you are looking for excuses for your team before the game even starts. These are some of the reasons why we don't want our kids on the game field until 30 minutes before game time. Everyone in the planet is there 60-75-90 minutes before the game; we get er done in 30 minutes and have plenty of time to spare. It also usually freaks the other team out, they are not sure we are going to show at all, then when we do show up, we are doing all our pregame stuff with our helmets off and in a much different fashion than anything they've ever seen.

It is the play on and off the field, and the individuals who have contributed to that play, that is at the heart of the Cowboys great success. Throughout the life of its franchise, the Dallas Cowboys have had a number of all-stars whose skills and achievements have contributed to Dallas Cowboys history.
The Sweeps - The Cheapest Football Plays in Youth Football
The Sweep the "Holy Grail" Of Youth Football Plays While the sweep is a legitimate football play at all levels, it is a play I personally detest in Youth Football. Too many youth football games are decided by one player on a play that often requires little team work or real execution, the sweep play. It sickens me to see poorly coached teams running sweep play after sweep play for touchdowns, coaches fists raised up in the air in triumph for what? For the fact that by the skillful feat of geography their youth football team just happened to have one very fast player signed up for their particular team. Wow that takes a lot of coaching skill and team effort, congrats.
